Charles Glick, Principal and Founder:

Charles brings twenty years of experience in lobbying, policy analysis, political and media campaigns, and coalition and relationship building. He has successfully negotiated and lobbied on some of the most complex and controversial issues facing Massachusetts. During his time at CGC, Charles has secured millions in state funding for various clients while also spearheading a number of successful legislative campaigns.

Prior to forming CGC in 2001, Charles served as the founding Director of Government Affairs for the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) in Boston. He has also coordinated Jewish outreach efforts by the Kerry and Obama presidential campaigns. Charles and a colleague formed the Jewish Political Action Committee of Massachusetts, the only PAC in the country to focus on the domestic policy agenda of the Jewish community. Charles continues to represent the interests of the Jewish community by serving JCRC as a current client.

Kate Worrall, Vice President:

Kate Worrall serves as CGC’s Vice President. She joined the CGC team in 2012, and brought to the position a diverse background in grassroots and direct lobbying at the state and federal level, law, public policy, and public relations. Together, she and Charles provide strategic, government affairs advice to clients and organize fundraising events to promote the valuable services that they provide to underserved populations. Kate also assists with developing new business prospects, managing budgets, maintaining social media, and organizing marketing efforts. 

Before joining CGC, Kate served as Legislative Assistant and Membership Coordinator for the American Council on International Personnel (ACIP), a federal trade association focusing on education and advocacy around business immigration issues.

Ariela Lovett, Senior Associate:

Ariela comes to CGC after 3.5 years on the legislative team at the Massachusetts Municipal Association, where she lobbied on behalf of local government interests. She covered a policy portfolio that included issues related to environment, energy, public works, and transportation, and acted as a liaison between cities and towns and the State Legislature, Governor’s Administration, and state agencies.

Raised in New Jersey, Ariela earned a BA from Mount Holyoke College, and Masters in Public Policy and MBA in Nonprofit Management degrees from the Heller School at Brandeis University. Prior to graduate school, Ariela worked as a case manager at a social service nonprofit and an alternative sentencing criminal court, both in New York City.

Calli Masters, Government Affairs Assistant:

Calli joins CGC after a two-semester stint as a CGC intern where she gained extensive knowledge of Charles Group, their clients, and the innerworkings of the MA State House, after also completing a State House internship. Originally from Oregon, Calli graduated from Lesley University with two degrees in Political Science and Global Studies, also minoring in Spanish with proficient fluency. Her independent projects centered on immigrant and refugee policy, equity and discrimination, and democratic engagement.
